When you set a date for your wedding there's an old saying that goes something like..."let the madness begin."

Seriously though, wedding ideas are a dime a dozen and the one thing any bride wants is for her wedding day to be special. In other words, it's got to be unique.

We actually liken it to going out to a function and bumping into someone there wearing the same outfit..."Oh my gosh...how did that happen?"

Every bride to be has it in her mind just what she wants but many are restricted by cost. A wedding costs a lot of money that's for sure.

If you are really going for the whole "shabang" consider these just for starters... wedding ceremony, wedding dress, matron of honor, bridesmaids, matron of honor and bridesmaid dresses, wedding supplies, wedding jewelry, wedding cake,  flowers, gifts, music, photos, videos and responsibilities.

And we haven't even touched on the groom and his entourage yet. While it will usually be his responsibility to organize his lot let's be honest, there wouldn't be a bride alive who hasn't spect countless hours worrying about whether he has got things under control and organized.

One thing to keep in mind when planning your wedding day is that with each passing day, the big day draws closer and the less time you have to get everything organised. If you go down the traditional track and set your wedding date more than a year in advance you should really start planning everything at least nine months prior to the big day.

The main reason you want to get "all your ducks in a row" is to avoid the chaos in the last days leading up to the walk up the aisle. These are the days you really want to savor and enjoy. They are going to be precious.

To that end, we always suggest booking the ceremony site initially, then the reception site and most importantly, your photographer. They are the big three. Once you get these organized you have laid the foundation and it's excitement plus because you will suddenly realize..."gosh, I'm getting married!"
