Does anyone know about gold?
I recently purchased a real piece of jewelry, a ring that is badly damaged. It has what appears to be a .5 Marquis carat diamond or diamond stone on a high mountain. The band is hallmarked 18KTHGFs .... I wonder if anyone knows what this means?
18k is the purity of gold. TH is the initials of the manufacturer. TH does not appear as a coveted manufacturer. GF half-filled or gold plated s is the base metal, or what the metal is under the gold plate. In this case, is sterling silver.
