I bought a ring bearer pillow and flower girl basket and they are white but my color is ivory how do I dye it?
I don't have a lot of money for this wedding so a professional isn't an option. The pillow has cotton and ribbon and the basket is silky.
Either return it and but a different one, or don't sweat it. I vote for not sweating it at all.
BIG PICTURE time....do you really think that as the ring bearer is walking down the aisle and then you walk down the aisle 30 seconds later, that people are going to say....gee, the pillow doesn't match the wedding dress?
And when you have the group photos, is your ring bearer and flower girl going to be holding up their basket and/or pillow directly next to your dress or will the miniatures be standing some distance away from you (and your dress)...so there would be a color separation of the bridesmaids and groomsmen's attire. Will they even be holding the pillow and/or basket? Probably not.
And how long out of a 10 hour day would the pillow and basket actually be seen by your guests....three minutes.
I wouldn't bother changing it because it isn't something that anyone would notice.
If you want, I would buy a ribbon the same color as the bridesmaids and attach it to the basket handle...that way it has some contrast and stands up more...when the girl is walking down the aisle.
